Farhad is a remarkable visual storyteller. Each image draws the viewer in and reveals a world of dynamic color and creativity in every setting, while still communicating a compelling narrative. He effectively encapsulates a brand’s message, showing the heart and purpose of an idea. His beautiful execution of lighting and composition creates a harmonious balance within each frame, embodying passion and purpose. Farhad’s distinct aesthetic carries across his many diverse projects and adapts to the needs of each one.

To get to know Farhad better, we asked him a few questions. Fun fact, he happens to have the same birthday as James Dean - February 8th!
SternRep: Where did you grow up?
Farhad Samari: I was born in Iran and moved to the US at the age of ten. I spent most of my life in southern California. I am a California boy at heart and I love all it’s beauty and diversity.
SR: Where do you live now?
FS: I split my time between LA and Joshua Tree, CA
SR: What are some of your hobbies?
FS: Camping, Cooking, Traveling, timeless style, architecture, history, vintage, and the list goes on. So much to love and explore in this life. My Moto is to stay curious and passionate
SR: Do you have any pets?
FS: 2 dogs, I am definitely a dog person
SR: What would you do if you weren’t a photographer?
FS: I would love to create a show about food, travel, and culture like Anthony Bourdain, wish he was still with us.
SR: Anything else you’d like to share?
FS: Adversity builds character. Challenge yourself out of your comfort zone every day. If it was easy everyone would be doing it.
